Mewa Arena

History

MEWA Arena, originally known as Coface Arena, was inaugurated in July 2011 to replace the club’s former Bruchwegstadion. Built to meet Bundesliga and UEFA standards, it has hosted countless domestic matches, occasional international fixtures, and special events, quickly becoming a symbol of Mainz’s sporting identity.

The stadium features a rectangular design optimized for football, with steep stands that bring fans close to the pitch. What is MEWA?

MEWA is a German textile management company specializing in industrial and workwear services. The naming rights agreement with 1. FSV Mainz 05, signed in 2021, brought the MEWA brand to the forefront of German football.
