The stadium’s resident teams are FC Lyn Oslo and VĂ„lerenga Fotball, but the stadium is owned by the Norwegian Football Association and Vital Forsikring (the Norwegian life and pension insurance company).
The stadium has a current capacity of 25,572, below its maximum capacity of about 35,000. Ullevaal saw its maximum attendance during an international match between Norway and Sweden, with 35,495 people attending the match.
A record attendance of 35,000 was also reached in 1946, when FC Lyn Oslo played Sarpsborg FK in the semi-final of the Norwegian Cup. This match was so eagerly awaited that thousands of people were unable to find seats to watch the game; it is estimated that close to 60,000 people watched the game in and around the stadium.
