History of the stadium
Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk was inaugurated in 2011 as part of Poland’s large-scale stadium development program. It gained international attention by hosting matches during a major European tournament shortly after opening. Since then, it has been the primary home of Lechia Gdańsk and a venue for international fixtures and large events.
Architecture and design
The stadium features an oval football-specific bowl enclosed by a translucent amber-colored facade inspired by the Baltic region’s historic trade in amber. Seating tiers are continuous and provide clear sightlines from all areas. The roof structure covers all stands, improving comfort and acoustics.

Matchdays at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk offer a large-scale yet controlled football atmosphere. Lechia Gdańsk supporters generate strong vocal backing, particularly during important league matches. The enclosed design helps amplify crowd noise while maintaining modern spectator comfort.

The stadium is located in the Letnica district, north of Gdańsk city center, close to the Baltic coast. It is accessible by tram, bus and road connections, with dedicated transport arrangements on matchdays. Its location allows efficient crowd management for large events.
Origin of the stadium name
The name Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk comes from a naming rights agreement with Polsat Plus, a major Polish media and telecommunications group. The commercial name reflects the stadium’s modern sponsorship model.
