The sports venue on this site existed by the mid-1920s, making it one of the older football locations in the region. Over time, the ground was modernized multiple times, eventually becoming the long-term home base for Piast Gliwice. A major turning point came in the early 2010s, when the old structures were demolished and a fully new stadium was built to match modern league requirements.
Rebuild and modern era
The stadium underwent a complete reconstruction between 2010 and 2011. The result is a modern football-specific venue with four new covered stands and an all-seater layout. This redevelopment strengthened the club’s ability to host top-level matches in Gliwice and improved the overall spectator experience.
