Kingdom Arena in Riyadh is a cutting-edge, fully covered indoor football stadium that opened in 2024. Hosting 26,000 for football and up to 40,000 for concerts and sports, it’s home to Al‑Hilal and holds Guinness records. It features a retractable roof, VIP skyboxes, hybrid turf, and hosts global events including boxing, tennis, and WWE.
Kingdom Arena, originally called Boulevard Hall, broke ground and was built in just six months in 2023. Situated in the Hittin district of Riyadh, it officially opened in early 2024 as part of the Riyadh Season festival. Owned and operated by the General Entertainment Authority, it serves as the new home stadium for Al‑Hilal SFC under a long-term management deal concluded in September 2023.
The fully covered, four-sided venue seats roughly 26,000–30,000 spectators for football matches and can expand to around 40,000 for concerts and multi-sport events. The powerfully illuminated stadium stands 47 m tall, has external dimensions of 220 × 150 m, and features hybrid natural grass grown indoors under artificial lighting and climate control.
Built using steel elements, it includes 20 VIP skyboxes, a sky lounge for 350 guests, and a four-screen LED jumbotron hanging over the pitch. A full retractable roof and panoramic inner-ring screens make it one of the most advanced indoor football arenas globally. The expansion of the east stand in late 2024 added a second tier to increase visibility and capacity.
The name stems from a naming-rights agreement with Kingdom Holding Company. As a centerpiece of the Riyadh Season entertainment program, the arena combines football club use with large-scale concerts, combat sports, tennis, wrestling, and special events.
Kingdom Arena holds two Guinness World Records: the largest fully covered football stadium by surface area (37,991 m²) and the highest-capacity indoor covered stadium. It also hosted the 2024 Riyadh Season Cup (Al‑Hilal vs Inter Miami), major boxing bouts (Fury‑Usyk, Joshua‑Ngannou), PFL vs Bellator, WWE Night of Champions, and tennis and MMA events.
Four covered stands wrap tightly around the pitch:
Full retractable roof, central jumbotron, and pitch-level proximity ensure an immersive atmosphere. Capacity is capped at ~26,000 for football, rising to 40,000 for other event configurations.
No regular public tours are currently listed. Access is restricted to event days, corporate hospitality, or via special Riyadh Season experiences. No standalone guided tours are available at this time.
