History

Estadio Fiscal de Talca was inaugurated on August 16, 1939, in Talca, Chile, originally owned by the municipality. It has hosted home matches for Rangers de Talca and has been used for athletics, regional events, and religious gatherings. The stadium underwent safety-focused renovations under the “Estadio Seguro” national programme in the mid‑2010s.

Description

The venue holds around 14,000 spectators in an open-air format, featuring a natural grass field surrounded by a nine-lane running track. It has basic concrete stands on all four sides, without a full roof, giving it a classic municipal stadium appearance aligned with its modest size and community role.

Architectural Features

Built originally with simple concrete construction, the stadium’s latest upgrades include improved safety railings, seating, walkway access, and floodlighting, as part of the Estadio Seguro initiative. No corporate boxes or VIP suites are present; the structure remains functional and unfussy, focused on community use.
