Philips Stadion is the home stadium of PSV, the soccer club of Eindhoven. The stadium takes its name from the Philips electronics company, founded in Eindhoven by the Philips brothers.

History
The stadium was inaugurated in 1913, when PSV was founded. It was entirely financed at the time by Philips, who built the pitch and the few bleachers in the middle of the factories. It has been renovated several times since its creation, in 1958, and in 1977, thanks to funding from the royal electronics firm.
From 1988 to 2002, major renovations were carried out, in particular with a view to Euro 2000.
