History
The site was inaugurated in 1903, the same year as the Sundsvall GIF, and included tracks for running, bowling, shooting and tennis. Idrottsparken underwent a major renovation in the early 2000s and was re-inaugurated by Carl XVI Gustaf on June 9, 2002. The soccer field was covered with grass until 2004, when it was replaced by artificial turf, mainly due to the poor quality of the grass caused by the cold climate.
